I have built a number of bird houses. One of the prettiest designs was the Cape Cod Cottage. Unfortunately on the one I gave to Janine and Vedran I used the wrong glue. While suitable for keeping indoors it was not suitable for outdoors (where birds live)
J and V contacted me to say that the house had become derelict and possibly haunted so the neighbourhood values were being compromised. So they decided on a Viking Funeral for it

I think you should tell the story of the OTHER birdhouse!

Ok I am not sure who actually reads the comments. Lets face it, the artist is in the original, the comments could be the graffiti guys picking away at the piece of great literature that I have published. (I only put this challenge out to see who might comment (and Pat you cannot comment))
Pat’s reference to the birdhouse is about an event yesterday. I have an earlier version of Janine and Vedran’s birdhouse (a smaller one) mounted on the fence. I took it down a year ago and rebuilt it with the proper glues. It is mounted on the fence.
Yesterday I was working in the garden pulling out the massive weeds that seem to grow daily. I was under this particular birdhouse pulling up a big weed when I heard a buzzing. I looked up and there was a swarm of Wasps streaming out of the hole in the birdhouse towards me. I ran through the yard but was stung twice in the ear by angry wasps.
I went back and realized that the birdhouse was totally filled with a wasp nest. I took my wasp hornet killer spray and drenched the hole again and again.
I am waiting a couple of days before I take down the house and try to clean it out. If I had a fire pit like J and V I would burn it, but we are not allowed open fires in our community.
When I build the replacement I will follow the directions that my brother has given me of faking the hole with black paint behind so nothing can go in. I thought that was cruel but that was before I got 2 stings on my ear.

Wow! That is crazy! I am not sure I had any birds go in my house (likely because it was haunted) but I think you are good to not put in a hole.
